Human-centered design
A wide range of evaluations can be carried out to ensure a human-centered cabin design. Using tools like RAMSIS and a physical Ergo-Buck mock-up, aspects such as entry and exit, seating comfort, visibility, and reachability of controls can be thoroughly analyzed. Ergonomic data supports optimized placement of seats, displays, and controls for users ranging from the 5th percentile female to the 99th percentile male. Functional tests like luggage loading and interior layout variations can be validated both virtually and physically. This approach ensures a user-friendly interior—applied, for example, in the development of SkyCab.
